The Polecam AutoPod is a cost-effective, quick set-up, turnkey system for elevating PTZ cameras for smooth on-air “Towercam-like” vertical camera motion.
AutoPod
The first generation AutoPod offers hardwired control with a fixed elevation speed and soft stop/start. A foot pedal (3 pin XLR, max length 100m) controls vertical stop/start commands. A desk controller (5 pin XLR, max length 50m) also can control vertical stop/start commands and allows three memory-preset camera heights. An AutoPod Control Unit needs to be located with 15m of the lift column base.
AutoPod+
The second generation AutoPod+ offers ethernet and serial cabling options with variable speed foot pedals. Panasonic RP-50/120/150 etc., control desk protocol is also supported
Elevation Range
A “Single Column” AutoPod (AutoPod+) has a minimum camera mounting plate height of 2’1″, a maximum camera mounting plate height of 4’6″.
A “Double Column” AutoPod (AutoPod+) has a minimum camera mounting plate height of 4’4″, a maximum camera mounting plate height of 8’9″.
Note: AMV rents “Double Column” systems which may be configured on-site as “Single,” or “Double” heights.
